My Education

I am currently enrolled full time at Bowling Green Technical College. I have 1 more year to go! I am in the Visual Communications program. When I graduate, I will be a Digital Production Artist. I'm hoping to use the skills that I'm learning to eventually work in the music industry in Nashville. (I don't live very far away from there). I would like to design cd covers, posters and such. I will be graduating with my Associates Degree. The funny thing is, graduation is May 7, 2004 and June 1, 1984, I was graduating from high school! I guess this is my 20th anniversary present to myself! But hey, better late than never!

Here is a business card that I have made for myself. It's only temporary until I figure out what's "just right", but at least I can start getting my name out there.

I am also involved in a organization at school. PBL, which stands for Phi Beta Lambda, is a professional business organization for post-secondary students. It's a great organization, giving me the opportunity to build my leadership skills and better prepare myself for the professional job market. This fall semester I am planning to run for the office of Reporter at my local chapter (which should have it's own web site soon). I'm really looking forward to spending my last year in school with this organization.

Well, here I am, nearly 40 years old and dedicating a page to school, but like I said earlier, "Better late than never!". 20 years ago, when I graduated from high school, I really had no idea what I wanted to do, and most of my adult life was the same. But I guess the problem wasn't me, I just had to wait for technology to catch up with me! LOL! If you are considering returning to school, DO IT! No matter what your age, you are never too old to learn!
